Just like all of my “Order of Merlin” patterns, this is a really fun, easy to memorize pattern used throughout! It requires no cable needle and has 1 “special” stitch that I include written instructions and video tutorial.

There are 2 options to knit this pattern:

You can knit it in the round, which is a simpler pattern that any advanced beginner can accomplish! This is also a thicker headband so, it’s warmer for the wintertime.

You can also choose the knit flat option. This is knit flat, which is more intermediate. You’re reading a charted pattern right side and wrong side, and it starts with a provisional cast on. This is only 1 layer of fabric, so it’s more for all season or even a summer headband accessory!

SIZE
The width of the pattern is the same for all sizes. You’ll want to knit the length of the headband to have 1-2” of negative ease so it is stretchy but fits snugly around the head and over the ears for warmth.

Pattern has length suggestions if you do not have a recipient to measure.

The pattern includes generic sizing, this does not represent every single person, this is just a guideline. You can knit your headband to your desired length to fit any head.
