Helping Rhinos - Dyed to Order
THIS IS A DYED TO ORDER LISTING, the turn around time is undetermined because we do not know the response we will get to this. Please be patient as we dye your yarn. Because this is dyed to order and for a charity, all sales are final.
As we have watched the death toll rise and videos of devastation come out of the Bahamas from Hurricane Dorian, we decided to bring back our annual fundraiser. For the past 2 years we have dyed a colorway called "Helping Hippos" which is a colorway that dedicated the proceeds to hurricane relief. This year we are dyeing a very similar colorway but with a darker gray base and calling it "Helping Rhinos" the name deriving from our gray yarn base "Angry Rhino."
The colorway you see in the photo is last year's Helping Hippo, this year will not look the same.
All of the proceeds of this colorway will go to helping people affected by this devastating hurricane. We donate most of the proceeds to the Red Cross and Samaritan's Purse. The remainder goes to smaller more local charities, for example during Harvey we found a local charity through a fellow knitter who helped pets get rescued out of Houston.
If you are not interested in the colorway or not interested in donating to these particular charities, please consider giving directly. There are so many organizations to choose from.

COORDINATING COLORS: Beauty School Dropout, Material Girl, Troll Hair, Sunglasses Not Included, Leprechaun, Lucky, Sh Boom, Elba Island, Violet Beauregarde, Wonka
Each skein is hand dyed, they are each unique regardless of being the same colorway and name. If you are making a multi-skein item, you will want to alternate skeins.
The photos you see are just a few skeins. The skein you receive will not look exactly like this photo, as each skein is unique, but will have the same colors/style. Some skeins have more or less of each of the colors. This is the beauty of hand dyed yarn.
While I try my best to take photos to accurately represent the colors, each computer/mobile device varies in colors, if you have questions about color/photos, please ask.
Hand dyed with professional acid dyes. We wash all yarns in water several times to see that the water is running clear. Then they are washed in unscented Eucalan wool wash. Even with this process, you may still get minimal bleeding on the first few washes.
Dyed and stored in a smoke-free, dog-friendly studio.
Care: For best results, hand wash in cold water with an unscented wool wash of your choice. Lay flat to dry.
Detergent: I recommend Eucalan unscented, or another wool-specific unscented wash.
